Placemats are made from dozens of pieces of hand-woven hemp fabric, hand-stitched into a hexagon shape by tribal artisans in north Vietnam. The amount of time spent in creating these items is substantial
The color is naturally dyed from Indigo extract which creates 2 different shades of blue
The reverse side is made from cotton in darker blue

Hemp in Vietnam are grown organically and harvested by hand. It will go through 41 steps from scrutching, beating, straightening to weaving, coloring to create a piece of cloth which is strong, durable and biodegradable. Hemp fabrics get softer and more comfortable after wears and washes
