Description:
The placemats are made from organic hemp and handwoven by tribal artisans in northern Vietnam. The color is naturally dyed using plant-based materials, resulting in a beige/natural white tone.
The decorative patch features a batik pattern repurposed from authentic H'mong fabric. The batik motifs are drawn using beeswax and then dyed with indigo extract. Each patch is one-of-a-kind with hand-stitched details. The backing is made of cotton.
Use:
Perfect for the dining table, as a home décor detail, or as a gift. Excellent as a housewarming or cultural gift.

Handmade hemp fabric
Hemp in Vietnam are grown organically and harvested by hand. It will go through 41 steps from scrutching, beating, straightening to weaving, coloring to create a piece of cloth which is strong, durable and biodegradable. Hemp fabrics get softer and more comfortable after wears and washes
